Ginger Bag Quick & Easy to Sew
Ginger is a trendy, medium-sized crossbody bag! This bag features a flap closure, exterior zipper pocket, adjustable crossbody strap, and interior slip pocket. Also, I designed this bag so the Lucky Penny Wallet will fit perfectly inside. Ginger is a very quick sew, and has been designed for beginners. Choose to use cork fabric or vinyl for the contrast fabric if you’d like! The name of this pattern was inspired by American actress, dancer, and singer, Ginger Rogers.
The finished size is 11″ wide, 10″ high, and 3″ deep.

Try using our Faux Metal Zippers by the Yard for this project! Easily cut and sew through the zipper’s nylon teeth, while achieving the appearance of metal teeth. Make nine Ginger Bags from one package of Sallie Tomato Zippers by the Yard.
RECOMMENDED FABRICS: You can use quilt weight cotton, canvas, denim, or linen for the exterior. I recommend quilt weight cotton for the lining. Try using cork or vinyl for the contrast, or you can use quilt weight cotton, canvas, denim, or linen.
TIP – If making the bag from all cotton, you can eliminate the Interfacing and substitute the Fusible Fleece for Foam Stabilizer. This will result in a more structured bag.
