This tailored valance with tabs and buttons can be adapted to fit various window widths. The finished length of the valance is approximately 20 inches from the top of the valance to the bottom.

This valance works best when constructed out of a medium to heavy- weight decorative fabric for the face fabric and tabs. We recommend a medium-weight fabric for the piping and contrast fabric band behind the tabs. The entire valance is lined in a decorative lining.

Louise Valance Pattern

This is an easy-to-construct valance. The Louise Valance Pattern can be adapted to fit any size window. This pattern comes with 4 different variations: Pointed bottom without a cuff, pointed bottom with a pointed cuff, rounded bottom with no cuff, or rounded bottom with rounded cuff. It can be installed on knobs with posts or on a rod with rings. Our instructions are for a valance that is 42” finished width. The information needed to add to or reduce the width is included. The approximate finished lengths are shown at right.

Use a decorative contrast fabric for the lining and piping. This valance can be reversible, if desired. You can take out the stitching adjoining the pieces and reverse the fabric and stitch back together for a new look. However, we recommend using indoor/outdoor fabric if you choose to make your valance reversible to prevent the fabric from fading. Our easiest valance pattern ever.

Trim can be added along the cuffed edge, if desired.

This fully lined, arched valance trimmed with piping can be adapted to fit arch windows from 30” wide to 90” wide across the base of the arch. Our instructions fit a
standard true arch window (38” to 42” wide at the base), and include the information needed to add to or reduce the width. The Haley Valance Pattern could be used on eyebrow and elliptical shaped windows also. The finished length of the valance is approximately 19” at the center and 26” at the sides. Perfect valance for arched windows.

Floppy Top Panels Pattern

These classy curtains are great to use as decorative side panels. They are non- workable and each side panel covers about 14-18” of space, depending how far apart you place the rings when installing the panels. The side panels consist of 1- 1/2 widths of fabric each.

Trim can be applied to the leading edge of the panels, if desired. Instructions are included for applying a small covered piping along the edge of the floppy top.

The length of the panels can be adapted to any length.

This unique valance is a casual take on a formal style and can be adapted to fit any size window by adding additional swag sections. Our instructions are for a valance that is 38-42” finished width. The information needed to add to or reduce the width is included. The finished length of the valance is approximately 22 ½” at the swag, 17½” at the middle horn and 34” at the side jabots. The jabots are lined in a contrasting fabric. A facing made with decorative fabric is used along the bottom edge of the swag lining so that ivory/white lining does show to the front.

The laptop keeper combines traditional quilting techniques with modern fabrics. It is roomy enough to safely store most laptops. The finished size is approximately 12 1/2" x 16 1/2", when flap is closed.
