The Emily Valance Pattern is a fully lined and interlined valance can be adapted to fit any size window. Instructions are for a 42” board mount with a skirted backdrop. However, it can be hung from a rod with rings. The finished length of the valance from the top of the board is approximately 14
½” at the shortest point, 18”at the sides and approximately 23” at the center points.
This Emily Valance Pattern works best when constructed out of a medium-weight decorative fabric.
This treatment was totally contrast-lined. A decorative lining should be used because it will show underneath at the sides and in the pleat area, as well as the cuff at the top of the points.
