If you remember Claudia from her years owning Home Sewing Depot, you may be wondering what she’s creating these days. After more than 50 years of professional sewing, including custom draperies and slipcovers, Claudia is enjoying a new chapter as a fine artist in Maxwell, California.

And she has a new studio companion: Stanley, an orange tabby she adopted after his previous owner passed away. Stanley took a little time to settle in, but now he follows Claudia through the garden, explores the yard, and stops by her art studio to inspect her work. His adventures have inspired a series of paintings, along with a Stanley 2027 calendar and coloring book launching in October.
