Tiffany Satchel Pattern
Tiffany is a chic satchel bag, perfect for everyday style! This pattern has been cleverly designed to avoid using any bias binding. Instead, you’ll learn how to add a drop-in lining. The name of this pattern was inspired by the classic movie, Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
This bag features an adjustable crossbody strap, handles, an exterior slip pocket, wide opening top with luggage style zipper closure, and is fully lined. The finished size is 10″ wide, 9″ high, and 5″ deep.
You can choose to add metal strap arches to accent the handles if desired. Purse feet are also optional, but recommended, to protect the bottom of your bag.
Included are step-by-step graphics to help make the written directions easier to understand. Also included are many sewing techniques and tips to help you achieve a quality, finished project. This pattern is designed to help you learn and expand your sewing skills!
Try using our Faux Metal Zippers by the Yard for this project! Easily cut and sew through the zipper’s nylon teeth, while achieving the appearance of metal teeth. Make four Tiffany Bags from one package of Sallie Tomato Zippers by the Yard.
RECOMMENDED FABRICS: For the best results, use quilt weight cotton, canvas, denim, or linen for the exterior. I recommend quilt weight cotton for the lining. Use a fabric that doesn’t fray for the contrast such as cork, vinyl, kraft-tex, or leather.
